Well Summary

The BU-D08 development well was drilled from the BU-DPP platform by the Ensco 104 jackup rig. BU-DPP is located in the eastern half of the Bayu-Undan gas condensate field which is in the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) areas of JPDA 03-12 and JPDA 03-13, North Bonaparte Basin, Timor Sea, offshore Northwest Australia. The location is approximately 250km south of East Timor and 480km northwest of Darwin. ConocoPhillips (03-12) Pty Ltd is the operator. The Ensco 104 jackup drilling rig (previously the Chiles Discovery) was on 1st May 2002 and moved onto the BU-DPP location on 23rd July 2003, after completing operations on the Wellhead Platform (WP-1). The Ensco 104 jacked up in 79.4 metres (LAT) of water depth and an intermediate rotary table elevation of 48.6 metres above sea level. All depths are referenced to the Ensco 104 Rotary Table unless otherwise indicated. BU-D08 was spudded in on 16th September 2003, as part of batch drilling procedures. The D08 well was drilled to the northeast and reached a total depth of 4573 mMDRT in 8 ½" hole size on 2nd January 2004. A production liner has been run and the well completed and suspended pending perforation and hook up as an Elang/Plover gas/condensate producer. The perforation timing and intervals will be recorded in the BU-D08 Well Completion Report Volume 2 – Interpretive Data. The total number of days at the BU-D08 location was 52 days.

Wireline Logging

All logging was acquired in cased hole. CGG were used to acquire velocity VSP/Checkshot data in BU-D08 on a Halliburton Logging Services (HLS) wireline cable and HLS acquired cased-hole cement bond wireline logs that are summarised in Table below.
